RUK-SHUK™ - ‘The Game of Rock Balancing’ To Make U.S. Debut at New York Toy Fair

Blockbuster Year in Canadian Market Indicates Potential for Strong U.S. Sales

TORONTO, December 14, 2006 – After a blockbuster year of sales in Canada, Zabazoo Games is eyeing the U.S. games market for its new hit strategy-dexterity game, RUK-SHUK™ - The Game of Rock Balancing. A brand new concept in board games, RUK-SHUK™ appeals equally to kids and adults.

Launched in summer 2006, RUK-SHUK™ quickly became one of the hottest selling games in Canada with independent stores across the country selling up to 150 units each, in just 6 months of sales.

"RUK-SHUK™ sold at exceptional levels throughout the spring, summer and fall showing the product's ability to sell through any season," said Malcolm Bisiker, Creator of RUK-SHUK™.

RUK-SHUK™ combines the skillful act of rock-balancing with point-scoring strategy in a fun and easy-to-learn all-ages family or party game.

One to five players race against the clock to build different RUK-SHUK™ rock formations by balancing specially-crafted game rocks. If a formation topples, it must be rebuilt quickly before time runs out. Regular and bonus points are scored for rocks standing at the end of the time limit as well as completion of the formation. The player with the highest score wins.

Game formations are named for real, natural rock formations around the world and the game includes a series of “Formation Facts” in an effort to bolster awareness of the planet’s natural beauty. Schools are adopting RUK-SHUK™ for the game’s ability to engage students while developing math, geography, spatial awareness, manipulative and critical thinking skills.

RUK-SHUK™ was recently named to the Today's Parent "2006 Latest & Greatest Toys" list, The Neighborhood Toy Stores of Canada "2006 Latest & Greatest Toys" list, and was the number one gift recommendation for teenagers by Canadian Living magazine.

RUK-SHUK™ is represented by Frank Martin & Associates in the U.S.A. with a suggested retail price of $24.95.

About Us
RUK-SHUK™ was conceived in 1998 in a cafe in London, England, where Mr. Bisiker, a Toronto native, watched as a group of friends nearby attempted to stack sugar-cubes. He wondered what was so addictive about the balancing act, tried it himself and was instantly hooked. RUK-SHUK™ was born.

In January 2006, Mr. Bisiker, a CFA Charterholder (Chartered Financial Analyst), had a near-death experience in a British Columbia avalanche which served as a pressing reminder that “life is short”. Consequently, he chose to take a break from his work as an analyst to launch a version of the balancing game that had captured his imagination all of those years ago.

RUK-SHUK™ - The Game of Rock Balancing is now available in toy, game and gift stores across Canada and online at www.rukshuk.com. Made in Canada, production is now running full time to keep up with overwhelmingly strong demand in the product’s initial markets. The company recently signed its first major U.S. distribution agreement and, in keeping with its global theme, has plans to spread the game to all corners of the planet.
