Canadian Living Magazine Names RUK-SHUK™ – The Game of Rock Balancing The Number One Holiday Gift Recommendation for Teenagers

TORONTO, November 17, 2006 – RUK-SHUK™ – The Game of Rock Balancing has been recommended by Canadian Living magazine as its number one holiday gift suggestion for teenagers.

Canadian Living magazine content is carefully selected to answer everyday concerns with information on Food, Health, Fashion, Beauty, Family, Leisure, Pastimes, Decor, Gardening and Relationships.

Designed and made in Canada, RUK-SHUK™ - The Game of Rock Balancing is a brand new concept in board games combining elements of point-scoring strategy, skill and luck in a fun, easy-to-learn, all-ages family or party game.

Players race against the clock to build different RUK-SHUK™ rock formations by balancing game rocks. If a formation topples, it must be rebuilt quickly before time runs out. Regular and bonus points are scored for each rock standing at the end of the time limit. The player with the highest score wins. Game formations are named after real and famous natural rock formations around the planet.

“In designing RUK-SHUK™, we tried to capture some distinct features of the Canadian community such as its multiculturalism and its respect for its natural surroundings. RUK-SHUK™ is an ideal gift for Canadian kids and teenagers in the upcoming holiday season because not only is it fun to play, it also promotes Canadian identity,” says Malcolm Bisiker, creator of RUK-SHUK™.

Launched in early summer 2006, RUK-SHUK™ took just weeks to gain a strong foothold in its home Canadian market achieving national store coverage with very strong summer and fall sales.

The allure of RUK-SHUK™ is in its deceptively challenging activity and with thousands of different possible rock and point combinations, RUK-SHUK™ provides hours of fun entertainment value.

RUK-SHUK™ was also recently named to the 2006 Latest & Greatest Toys lists of Today’s Parent magazine and the Neighborhood Toy Stores of Canada. RUK-SHUK™ - The Game of Rock Balancing is available in toy, game and gift stores across Canada and online at www.rukshuk.com.

About Us
RUK-SHUK™ was conceived in 1998 in a cafe in London, England, where Mr. Bisiker, a Toronto native, watched as a group of friends nearby attempted to stack sugar-cubes. He wondered what was so addictive about the balancing act, tried it himself and was instantly hooked. RUK-SHUK™ was born.

In January 2006, Mr. Bisiker, a CFA Charterholder (Chartered Financial Analyst), had a near-death experience in a British Columbia avalanche which served as a pressing reminder that “life is short”. Consequently, he chose to take a break from his work as an analyst to launch a version of the balancing game that had captured his imagination all of those years ago.

RUK-SHUK™- The Game of Rock Balancing is now available in toy, game and gift stores across Canada and online at www.rukshuk.com. Made in Canada, production is now running full time to keep up with overwhelmingly strong demand in the product’s initial markets. The company recently signed its first major U.S. distribution agreement and, in keeping with its global theme, has plans to spread the game to all corners of the planet.
